On Monday, we had the incredible privilege of Anj Cairns delivering workshop on Access to Work! She broke down everything we need to know—who it’s for, how to apply, and how to get the most out of it.
Couldn’t make it? No worries—here are the highlights:
- Access to Work funds workplace adjustments and tools to help us work as productively as our neurotypical colleagues.
- It’s available to anyone 16+ who is employed, self-employed, or in an apprenticeship/internship.
No diagnosis needed! You just need to show why you need support.
There are two types of support:
- Equipment (e.g., tools or software)
- Services (e.g., coaching or neurodiversity training for coworkers)
- The application process can take time, but new hires can get fast-tracked.
